Andrew Knowlton is the Restaurant Editor at Bon Appetit magazine, where he writes features and monthly columns including The BA Foodist and The Hot 10. He frequently writes about cocktails and spirits as well. His blog, The BA Foodist, was nominated for a 2009 James Beard Award. He has appeared as a judge on The Food Network’s "The Next Iron Chef America" and "Iron Chef America" as well as on NBC’s “Chopping Block,” CBS, Fox, and NPR.

Raised in Atlanta on a steady diet of pimento cheese and Orange Julius, he is diehard Braves, Falcons and Hawks fan. He has yet to be inspired by the play of the Thrashers. He now lives in Brooklyn with his wife and daughter but longs for the time when boiled peanuts and freshly fried pork rinds will migrate North of the Mason-Dixon.
