Andrew Krepinevich is a defense policy analyst, president of the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments, and Distinguished Visiting Professor at George Mason Universitys School of Public Policy. An author, lecturer, and consultant on U.S. military strategy and policy, he has served in the Defense Departments Office of Net Assessment as well as on the National Defense Panel, the Defense Science Board Task Force on Joint Experimentation, and the Joint Forces Commands Transformation Advisory Board. He has also worked on the personal staff of three secretaries of defense. He is the author of The Army and Vietnam.
