Award-Winning Human Rights Author, Lawyer & Entrepreneur; Author of 25 Million Sparks, a Financial Times Book of the Year

Andrew Leon Hanna is a first-generation Egyptian American lawyer, entrepreneur, author, and international human rights advocate. He is the award-winning author of "25 Million Sparks: The Untold Story of Refugee Entrepreneurs" (Cambridge University Press), a Financial Times Book of the Year and winner of the Financial Times and McKinsey Bracken Bower Prize in London.

Hanna is the founder/co-founder of three ventures supporting and investing in underrepresented entrepreneurs. He is co-founder and CEO of DreamxAmerica (Forbes 30 Under 30; Fast Company World Changing Ideas; Chicago Emmy® Nomination), founder and CEO of Mona (Stanford IDIF winner; backed by Alpine Investors) and co-founder and COO of Sawa Impact Labs (backed by NFX). His work has been featured in or on the BBC, PBS, Fast Company, Forbes, Financial Times, and more.

Hanna received an MBA with honors from Stanford Graduate School of Business (Knight-Hennessy Scholar; Siebel Scholar; Arjay Miller Scholar), a J.D. with honors from Harvard Law School (Harvard Law Review editor), and an A.B. with highest distinction from Duke University.
