Previously he was the head of Community Development Banking for RBS and NatWest.  For 20 years, Andrew has obsessed about the potential of community enterprise and, during that time, he served on both the Development Trust Association and bassac boards.

He has served on various taskforces and working groups relating to the funding and finance of the sector, and was one of the commissioners of the review of the community ownership and management of assets led by Barry Quirk.

Andrew was a former chairman of UKSIF, the sustainable investment and finance association, and very closely involved in the founding of the Social Investment Taskforce, Social Enterprise UK, Community Development Finance Association and the Local Investment Fund (now the Social Enterprise Loan Fund).  His current non-executive responsibilities include the Community Development Foundation, LankellyChase Foundation and London Funders.

Andrew’s efforts on behalf of social and community enterprise were recognised with an MBE in 2003.
