Angel Pascual-Ramsay  

Director of Global Risks at ESADE's Center for Global Economy and Geopolitics

Angel Pascual-Ramsay is director of Global Risks at ESADE's Center for Global Economy and Geopolitics, where he is also a lecturer on global economics and geopolitics. From 2008 to 2011, he served as an advisor for the Spanish prime minister, with responsibility for the analysis of global economic trends. Prior to his public service position, Mr. Pascual-Ramsay worked as a management consultant for Accenture in its London and New York offices.

He has collaborated with several international economic organizations, including the OECD and the Davos World Economic Forum, and was Spain country consultant for The Economist Group. He is the author of various publications on international political economy, including his latest book, an account of the origins and consequences of the economic crisis in Spain, published last April. He holds degrees in social and political science from the University of Cambridge and in business administration from ICADE University in Madrid, as well as a master's in Public Administration, with concentration in macroeconomics, from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government. He is fluent in Spanish, English and French.
