Angela Benton is a prominent leader in artificial intelligence and technology, known for her role as a trusted advisor and proactive investor. She currently serves as the Managing Director at Fruit Ventures, her venture studio where she advises and invests in startups. Additionally, Benton is the Executive Chairman at Streamlytics, an AI company she founded, which is at the forefront of promoting the ethical use of consumer data. Her expertise also extends to advising executives on AI enablement and ethical data strategy across Fortune 500 companies and leading management consulting firms.

In her previous role as CEO of Streamlytics, Benton led the development of groundbreaking AI-driven products and solutions, establishing the company as a leader in ethical data with over 10 billion opt-in data points processed from more than 125 countries. She was instrumental in pioneering the UDIF (Universal Data Interchange Format) data standard, which standardizes data files into a portable format (patent pending), and she also developed a novel method for pricing and valuing consumer data (patent pending).

Benton has made significant contributions to the AI and technology sectors, speaking globally on AI topics, advising on AI public policy, and creating extensive resources to educate businesses on successful AI integration. She shares her insights through her newsletter, AB on AI. Before her work at Streamlytics, she was a trailblazer for diversity in the technology industry, founding the first accelerator globally for minorities in 2011, which was later acquired. Throughout her career, she has raised over $50 million in venture capital funding and held various roles across design, development, and strategy at both venture-backed startups and Fortune 500 companies.

Benton’s achievements have earned her recognition, including being named among Goldman Sachs’ 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs, Fast Company’s Most Creative People in Business, and Business Insider’s 25 Most Influential African-Americans in Technology. Outside of her professional endeavors, Benton is a breast cancer survivor dedicated to personal well-being and sustainable living, enjoying her time at Well Living Farms, her family farm in Southwest Florida. She holds a Master of Fine Arts from the Savannah College of Art and Design and a BFA in Visual Communications and Digital Design from American InterContinental University.
