Holistic Nutritionist & Plant-Based Raw Food Chef

Ani Phyo is a best-selling author, champion athlete, wellness expert, business consultant, and entrepreneur whose passion lies in designing and creating socially and environmentally aware communities by integrating technology, story telling, and healthy living with natural products.

Ani is the 2013 SoCal Gold Medalist in Powerlifting and is the World’s leading author on detox, superfoods, wellness, and fitness. She has written seven award-winning and best-selling books, including “Ani’s 15-Day Fat Blast”, “Ani’s Raw Food Essentials”, and “Ani’s Raw Food Kitchen,” awarded “Best Vegetarian Cookbook USA 2007″ by Gourmand International. She offers Mastery Raw Food and Detox Certification Courses to help people learn how to make delicious, healthy food at home and/or for business while providing guidance to students who wish to start their own small business in the wellness and natural product categories.

Ani graduated from Cornell University in 1990, where she majored in Business Management and Design & Environmental Analysis, with a minor in Nutritional Sciences. She studied International Business Management at Yonsei University in 1989 and at Ewha University in 1987. In 1992, Ani studied Computer Art, Animation, and Social Psychology at SUNY Buffalo until she relocated to San Francisco in 1994.

Ani is an ambassador for the Office of Women’s Health at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in Washington D.C. where she helps encourage women to make our health a priority. She is an advisor to Loyola Marymount’s Entrepreneurship Program in the College of Business Administration and at the Executive Management Program at UCLA’s Anderson School of Management. She is a Network of Korean American Leadership (NetKAL) Fellow at the University of Southern California’s Center for Asia Pacific Leadership.

Today, Ani lives in Los Angeles where she enjoys volunteering and supporting non-profit organizations, staying active outdoors, body building, and rock climbing. Ani is currently developing a women’s health optimization program, working on her next book, and planning projects for TV and Web.
