A seasoned leader with deep expertise across a variety of multi-sided marketplaces, Ania Smith joined Taskrabbit as chief executive officer in August 2020. Smith brings more than 20 years of experience in global business operations and strategic planning, as well as a passion for making everyday life easier for everyday people. Guided by Smith’s leadership and in partnership with IKEA, Taskrabbit continues its growth and expansion across North America and Europe.

Prior to joining Taskrabbit, Smith was with Uber, where she led courier operations for Uber Eats. Before this, she spent several years in key roles at Airbnb, developing targets and strategy for North America business operations before leading the growth of host services.

Previously, Smith was with Walmart eCommerce, focusing on strategy and partnerships, and with Expedia, concentrating on the brand’s growth into central and eastern Europe. Earlier in her career, Smith held several consulting roles, including Booz-Allen & Hamilton and L.E.K. Consulting.

Smith holds a BA in Economics and Political Science from the University of South Dakota and an MBA in Strategic Management and Finance from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
