Publicist, entrepreneur, activist, born in 1968, grew up in East Germany. Active in East German opposition movement in 1988-89. Degrees in Textile Art (GDR), BA Intern. Business Administration (Germany), MA in European Business Administration (UK); 9 yrs consultant and business development manager with Accenture, 2 yrs engagement manager at the Business Technology Office McKinsey, 3 yrs Director Government Relations and Innovative Government Programs Lead with Microsoft Germany, since 2011: independent, founder of fempower.me (helping organisations and women with aspirations to break glass ceilings) and opengov.me (helping governments and politicians to become more transparent and participative). In 2015, founding a company dedicated to fibre based broadband with her husband, transparency activist Daniel Domscheit-Berg.

Engaged in various civil society organisations. Regular speaker and writer in Germany and abroad on topics around digital society, gender equality, government surveillance. Strong promoter of "commonism", as a new paradigm for a sustainable digital society. Books (Heyne): “Mauern einreißen – weil ich glaube, dass wir die Welt verändern können” and "Ein bisschen gleich ist nicht genug! Warum wir von Geschlechtergerechtigkeit noch weit entfernt sind". Lives in North-East Germany.
