Managing Director, Global Head of Cyber Operations at Citi

Ann Barron-DiCamillo, currently the Managing Director and Global Head of Cybersecurity Operations at Citi, brings over 20 years of extensive experience in operations and the delivery of information security services. As a cybersecurity expert, she is responsible for all cyber operations at Citi, which includes assessment, monitoring and detection, intelligence, incident response, and recovery. In her role, she oversees Vulnerability Assessments and Cloud Security Operations programs, the Cyber Security Fusion Centers, and the Security Operations Centers.

Before joining Citi, Barron-DiCamillo was Chief Technology Officer at Strategic Cyber Ventures, LLC (SCV). She also held the position of Vice President in the technology organization at American Express, where she oversaw cyber intelligence and incident response and managed global cybersecurity operations. Prior to American Express, she served as the Director of the United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT) at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), where she led efforts in cyberspace to respond to major incidents, analyze threats, and share critical cybersecurity information with trusted partners globally. This role involved leading a 24x7 operation center that analyzed hundreds of incident reports and over 40 billion network transactions each day, while working with over 400 public and private sector partner organizations.

In addition to her vast experience in the cybersecurity field, Barron-DiCamillo has also worked with system integration firms in software development and applications development. She served as an Adjunct Professor at the Kogod School of Business at American University, where she taught Cybersecurity, Risk Management, and Governance. Barron-DiCamillo is a graduate of Baylor University, with a Master of Science in Information Systems from American University. In 2016, she completed the Harvard University Kennedy School's Senior Executive Fellows (SEF) program. She has held the designation of Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) since 2003.

Barron-DiCamillo's significant contributions to the field have earned her recognition as an international cybersecurity expert. For example, she was selected as 2016 Top Federal 100 by FCW magazine and received the 2016 Technology Champion Award by the National Association of State Chief Information Officers. In 2015, she was named among the “Top 10 Women ‘Power Players’ in IT Security” by SC Magazine and “Top 10 Women Cyber Guardians You Should Know” by NextGov. Currently, she serves as the Chairperson of the Board for the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC).
