Anna Konkle

Actress, Screenwriter, PEN15 Co-Creator

Anna Konkle is an actress and screenwriter, best recognized for her role alongside Maya Erskine in Hulu's original TV comedy series "PEN15." The show, which premiered in 2019, is a unique comedic portrayal of middle school life as experienced in the year 2000. Konkle and Erskine, who also co-created and co-executive produced the series, portrayed fictional versions of themselves at age 13. "PEN15" was acknowledged with a nomination for Best Comedy Series at the Emmy Awards in 2021.

Konkle's acting career began with a film debut in the short film "Last Call" in 2012. Subsequent roles included appearances in the TV miniseries "Project Reality" (SyFy 2013) and as Enid in two episodes of "Betas" (Amazon 2013-14). Her career continued to expand in 2014 with roles in the Ben Stiller-produced web series "Next Time on Lonny" and the sitcom "New Girl" (Fox 2011). In 2015, Konkle gained further visibility through roles in "Man Seeking Woman" (FXX 2015), "Big Time in Hollywood, FL" (Comedy Central 2015), and "Maron" (IFC 2013). That same year, she was cast opposite Morris Chestnut in the procedural comedy-drama "Rosewood" (FOX 2015).

Konkle's education at New York University provided her with a foundational network and experience in acting, notably through her time studying abroad in a theater program in Amsterdam, where she met Maya Erskine. The collaboration and shared experiences from this period were instrumental in their later work on "PEN15."

Some people labor under the misconception that a soulmate is synonymous with the love of your life, relegated exclusively to romantic relationships, fodder only for those seeking their ain true love.
