Anne Ramstetter Wenzel, M.A., is an economist and market research consultant at Econosystems.

Anne Ramstetter Wenzel, M.A., is an economist, market research consultant and established business writer who brings economics to life for her clients.

Anne has been assisting entrepreneurs with market research since 2000, when she wrote an art market analysis for the business plan of water color artist Raphaella Vaisseau, owner of HeartfulArt.com. She was certified as a Business Advisor by the Northern California Small Business Development Center Network in September 2008. She has given business planning workshops at numerous chambers of commerce and business networking organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Through her business advising service, Anne helps her clients identify who is most likely to buy their products or services, then creates business planning documents that give clients focus and direction for growing their businesses. She also writes and edits full business plans, including 2-3 year forecasts, for entrepreneurs seeking funding. In January 2012, Anne’s book, The Entrepreneur’s Guide to Market Research, was published under the Praeger imprint, allowing her to provide market research assistance to a wider audience. Her book is available in more than 500 university and public libraries in 30 countries around the world.

A large part of Anne’s business is providing economic loss valuation estimates for mediation and litigation purposes. The customized economic damages reports contain past and future value of lost earnings, support, benefits, pensions, household services, and other economic losses relevant to personal injury, wrongful death and discrimination lawsuits.

Prior to founding Econosystems, Anne was the staff economist for in the Chemical Marketing Research Center (CMRC) at SRI International, Menlo Park, California. There she published industry analysis and economic outlook reports for The Chemical Economics Handbook. She also provided research staff and clients with quarterly United States and global economic forecasts.

Anne has Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees in economics from San Francisco State University. She is past president of the San Francisco and Silicon Valley chapters of the National Association for Business Economics (NABE), and currently serves as team member for NABE’s Get Connected organization for early and mid-career economists.

Anne lives with her husband Robert Wenzel in Silicon Valley, California, where she is a member of the VC Taskforce and a voice/piano student at the New Mozart School of Music.
