Former Disney Executive, Board Member at Netflix, Inclusion Advocate

Anne Sweeney is a seasoned executive with substantial experience in the entertainment industry and a notable commitment to inclusion and education. Currently, she is a member of the Board of Directors at both Netflix and LEGO, and also serves on the Board of Trustees at the Mayo Clinic and The Getty Museum.

Her entertainment career spans over three decades, occupying senior roles at prominent companies such as the Walt Disney Co., 21st Century Fox, and Viacom. Sweeney was the Co-Chair of Disney Media Networks and President of the Disney|ABC Television Group from 1996 to 2015 where she was instrumental in strategic planning and business execution. Prior to her tenure at Disney/ABC, she was the Chairman and CEO of FX Networks, Inc., from 1993 to 1996, presiding over the launch of FX and FXM: Movies from Fox.

Beyond her corporate roles, Sweeney is dedicated to advocating for neurodiverse and disability inclusion, focusing on actionable insights for inclusivity in the workplace. She is recognized as a Deans Distinguished Fellow at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and has continued her involvement in educational endeavors through her service on the boards of The Fulfillment Fund, the Board of Visitors for UCLA Anderson, AFI, and the Special Olympics.

Sweeney's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree from The College of New Rochelle and a Master's in Education from Harvard University, underscoring her longstanding commitment to the intersection of education and children's entertainment.
