Executive Producer and Star of ABC's New Comedy "black-ish"

Anthony Anderson is an American actor and one of Hollywood’s most recognizable funny men with a prolific career in both film and television. He has showcased his talent in many critically acclaimed movies including DreamWorks’ TRANSFORMERS and Warner Bros’ Oscar-winning THE DEPARTED. Anthony has also starred in his own original WB sitcom, ALL ABOUT THE ANDERSONS, and played ‘Detective Kevin Bernard’ in the final seasons of NBC’s long running Emmy Award-winning drama LAW & ORDER. Additionally, Anthony hosted the 45th annual NAACP Image Awards, as well as the 2015 BET Awards.

Anthony stars in and executive produces the new ABC comedy BLACK-ISH. Anthony plays ‘Dre’, a father who sets out to establish a sense of cultural identity for his family that honors their past while embracing their future. Season 1 was a massive hit, and season 2 will premiere September 23rd. Anthony will also host ABC’s reboot of its hybrid variety/game show TO TELL THE TRUTH, premiere date TBD.FILM Anthony first rose to popularity in 2000 as one of Jim Carrey’s sons in Twentieth Century Fox’s ME, MYSELF & IRENE. He then went on to star in BARBERSHOP and AGENT CODY BANKS 2: DESTINATION LONDON. He has also been in THE BACK-UP PLAN, SCARY MOVIE 3 & 4, HUSTLE & FLOW, and KANGAROO JACK.

Anthony’s performance in LAW AND ORDER earned him his fourth consecutive NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series for the 2010 season. He starred in NBC’s GUYS WITH KIDS, as well as Fox’s K-VILLE. Anthony recurred as ‘Antwon Mitchell’ in seasons 4 and 5 of FX’s award-winning THE SHIELD, and has also appeared in RAISING HOPE, SHAMELESS, SAMANTHA WHO, THE BERNIE MAC SHOW, ALLY MCBEAL, and NYPD BLUE.

Anthony is a passionate foodie, who recently had his own show on the Food Network entitled EATING AMERICA, in which Anthony traveled to the best food festivals in America.He also had his own AOL series ANTHONY EATS AMERICA in which he traveled the country searching for the best home cooks. Anthony has also been a recurring guest judge on Food Network’s IRON CHEF AMERICA.

Anthony graduated from Howard University, and currently resides in Los Angeles. He is married to his college sweetheart, and they have two children, Kyra and Nathan.
