Anthony Carrigan

Actor & Alopecia Areata Advocate; Known for "Gotham" & HBO's "Barry"

Anthony Carrigan is an actor who has played "Victor Zsasz" in the FOX series Gotham and "Tyler Davies" in The Forgotten. He also created the indelible character of gangster "Noho Hank" in the HBO series Barry, for which he is known.

Carrigan also has alopecia areata, an autoimmune disease that causes hair loss. Though he experienced mild symptoms growing up, his hair loss became rapid in his 20s, causing him to wear makeup and fake hair during various acting jobs. Carrigan eventually decided to embrace his physical difference and, despite being told he would never act again, he was determined to continue doing what he loved. He is now known for his complete lack of hair, eyebrows, and eyelashes, and has been able to completely incorporate his new identity into his career, often being typecast as television villains.
