Dr. Anthony Lewis, Senior Director of Technology for Qualcomm, in biologically-inspired robotics. An expert in robotics and neuromorphic engineering with 80+ publications and patents. Lewis directed a robotics lab for UCLA, and developed control systems for robotic hands and force feedback exoskeletons for Jet Propulsion Laboratory. He founded Iguana Robotics, where he helped develop biologically inspired robots. Recipient of the Best Journal Paper award from EURASIP J. for applied signal processing (2003), Best Vision Paper finalist award for the IEEE ICRA Conference (2002), and the NASA new technology award (1994). Senior Member of the Institute of Electronic and Electrical Engineers. He graduated from the UCLA with a bachelor’s degree in cybernetics and he received his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from USC in 1996.
