Anthony Scaramucci is an American entrepreneur, financier, political figure, and author. In June 2017, he became a senior vice president and chief strategy officer at the U.S. Export-Import Bank.
On January 12, 2017, President Donald Trump announced his intent to appoint Scaramucci Director of the White House Office of Public Liaison and Intergovernmental Affairs. Scaramucci's swearing-in was reportedly delayed by an extended review of his finances by the Office of Government Ethics, although the ethics office denied that clearance was necessary before making White House appointments. Ultimately, George Sifakis was appointed instead.
Following the 2016 election, Scaramucci served on the Presidential Transition Team Executive Committee. In 2005, Scaramucci founded global investment firm SkyBridge Capital, serving as co-managing partner before selling the company in early 2017 to take a role in the Trump administration.
Scaramucci also previously served as host of a financial television show Wall Street Week and contributor to the Fox News Channel.
Anthony Scaramucci is the founder and co-managing partner of SkyBridge Capital.
A frequent commentator and speaker, Mr. Scaramucci is the author of "The Little Book of Hedge Funds: What You Need to Know About Hedge Funds but the Managers Won’t Tell You" and "Goodbye Gordon Gekko: How to Find Your Fortune Without Losing Your Soul." He is a regular contributor to CNBC.
Prior to founding SkyBridge, Mr. Scaramucci co-founded Oscar Capital Management, an investment partnership and managed accounts business which was sold to Neuberger Berman, LLC in 2001. Upon Neuberger Berman’s sale to Lehman Brothers in 2003, he served as a managing director in its Investment Management Division. From 1989 to 1996, Mr. Scaramucci was at Goldman Sachs & Co., where in 1993 he became a vice president in Private Wealth Management.
Mr. Scaramucci earned a B.A. in Economics from Tufts University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School. He is a board member of Warrior Gateway and The Brain Tumor Foundation, sits on the Board of Advisors for the School of Arts and Sciences at Tufts University and is a member of the NYC Financial Services Advisory Committee. Mr. Scaramucci is the recipient of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2011 New York Award in the Financial Services category.
