Antonia Chen  

Assistant Professor at the Rothman Institute and Sidney Kimmel School of Medicine

Dr. Chen is a fellowship trained, board eligible orthopaedic surgeon in adult reconstruction who specializes in hip and knee replacement surgery. She is a widely published physician-scientist, who is a dedicated educator and clinician.

Dr. Chen received her Bachelor of Science degree from Yale University in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology. She then received her medical degree from Rutgers University, where she graduated with Distinction in Research and was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Chen also received her Master of Business Administration from Rutgers Business School, and graduated as a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society. She then went on to complete her orthopaedic residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, during which time she received multiple awards, including the Jacquelin Perry, MD, Resident Research Award for clinical research, the Jeannette Wilkins Award for basic science research, and the Gold Foundation Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award. Dr. Chen completed her Adult Reconstruction fellowship at Rothman Institute.

Dr. Chen is actively engaged in research, having written numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals, several authoritative book chapters and two books. In addition, she has delivered multiple presentations at national and international meetings, is currently a member of several professional societies and reviews manuscripts for multiple scientific journals.
