Founder & Chief Believer of TeleSoft Partners; Trustee of the Aspen Institute

Arjun Gupta is the Founder and Chief Believer of TeleSoft Partners, a venture capital firm he established in 1996. Over the course of more than two decades, he has expanded his portfolio by investing in more than 250 technology companies. This has led to a record of over 150 acquisitions and IPOs, including 60-plus ventures that have gained 'unicorn' status. Among his most notable investments are in companies like DocuSign, Salesforce.com, T-Mobile USA, and Facebook, his largest personal investment to date. His skill and acumen in the field earned him a place on the Forbes Midas List of the Top-100 Venture Capital Investors in 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009. In his venture capital career, Gupta has successfully raised over $1 billion in capital commitments.

In 2013, Gupta joined an ownership group to purchase the Sacramento Kings NBA basketball team and has since been actively involved in revitalizing the city of Sacramento. His philanthropic efforts began in 2001 when he launched the AG Family Foundation, which has since supported over 100 projects in America, India, and Africa. Aside from his professional and philanthropic pursuits, Arjun is a passionate outdoorsman, having participated in ski expeditions to the North and South Pole and climbing with 6 Himalayan expeditions. This led to his appointment as a UN Mountain Partnership Ambassador to assist with climate change initiatives. He is also a Fellow of the Explorer's Club (USA) and the Royal Geographic Society (UK), recognizing his work in conservation.

Gupta received his MBA from Stanford University, an MS and BS in Computer Science from WSU, and is an Advanced Leadership Fellow from Harvard University and a Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute. His commitment to education is further demonstrated in his role as a Trustee of the Aspen Institute, Aspen Music School & Festival, and Theatre Aspen. Currently, Gupta resides in San Francisco and Aspen.
