Musician, Singer-Songwriter & Guitarist; Front Man of the '90s Rock Band "Everclear"

Art Alexakis, renowned musician, is predominantly recognized as the singer-songwriter and guitarist of the rock band Everclear. However, his musical journey extends beyond Everclear, having been a member of several other bands. Additionally, Alexakis has significantly contributed to the music industry with his entrepreneurial ventures, founding numerous record labels, and working as an A&R representative for major record labels. He has also released several studio and compilation albums, not to mention multiple singles, asserting his impact as a record producer and songwriter.

Alexakis' career also extends into the realm of acting, having appeared in a variety of films and television shows. He has lobbied for drug awareness policies and support for military families, even testifying before Congress in support of HR 1488, the Compassion for Children and Child Support Enforcement Act in 2000. As a delegate for the 2004 Democratic National Convention, Alexakis represented Oregon's 3rd congressional district. His advocacy also extends to LGBT rights, where he has expressed support for gay marriage and opposition to Proposition 8 in 2010. These experiences, coupled with his diagnosis with multiple sclerosis in 2019, reveal a deeply engaged individual, committed to using his platform for positive change.
