A veteran of business with experience at companies like Disney, Datacard, Titan Corp., and various manufacturers, Art Barter is owner, CEO and cultural architect of Datron World Communications Inc., a radio equipment manufacturer for global military and security markets. Starting in 2004, he and his team transformed Datron from $10 million in annual sales to $200 million in just six years through a servant leadership approach.

Art also is an active speaker, passionate about spreading the message of how to implement servant leadership. He is CEO and founder of the Servant Leadership Institute (SLI). SLI helps people and organizations put servant leadership into practice through workshops, coaching, events, publications, and other programs.

Art has authored several books. His latest (2018) is a “how-to” in implementing servant leadership, based on his success at Datron, entitled "The Art of Servant Leadership II: How You Get Results Is More Important Than the Results Themselves".
