Asali DeVan Ecclesiastes is an educator, author, event producer and community developer. She works as Director of Strategic Neighborhood Development at New Orleans Business Alliance where she is in charge of place-based development of indigenous African-American neighborhoods. DeVan Ecclesiates works to empower community leaders, particularly in economic opportunity, cultural preservation, affordable housing, transportation access and environmental sustainability.

She is known for her TED talk "Chasms" which was posted in September 2018.
