Executive Director at Delaware Center for Justice

Ashley Blazer Biden is currently the Executive Director of the Delaware Center for Justice, Inc. is the leading non-profit in Delaware committed to transforming the quality of justice through advocacy, policy reform, and direct service programming for youth and adults impacted by the criminal justice system- including perpetrators of crime, victims of crime, and promise youth.

Prior to becoming the executive director in November 2014, Ashley was the associate executive director of DCJ for two years; overseeing all direct service programs. Ashley spent 5 years as an Education & Career Development Liaison for the Delaware Department of Services for Children, Youth, and Their Families and worked at West End Neighborhood House in Wilmington, Delaware as an employment and education case manager for youth aging out of foster care. After graduation from college, Ashley spent five years working as clinical support staff for Northwestern Human Services: Children’s Reach Mental Health Clinic in Philadelphia.

Ashley graduated from Tulane University with a BA in Cultural Anthropology and received her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy & Practice. Ashley received the John Hope Franklin Combating American Racism Award from the Black Men at Penn in 2010 and also received the 2018 Liberty Bell Award from the Delaware State Bar Association.

In 2016, Ashley started a social enterprise, Livelihood Inc., which is a socially and ethically conscious hoodie company inspired by and giving back to extraordinary every day people that focuses on economic inequality. The initial launch of her company was in partnership with GILT in 2017.
