Ashley Blaine Featherson is an actress and producer best known for her role as Joelle Brooks on Dear White People. She has reprised her character from Justin Simien's acclaimed 2014 indie for his Netflix series adaptation and is the only cast member featured on the show's soundtrack. Featherson will next reunite with Simien for his upcoming feature Bad Hair. Her previous credits include Macro's digital series Leimert Park, which premiered as part of Sundance's 2018 Indie Episodic Program. She also created Hello Cupid with Lena Waithe and starred in the 2013 web series.
