Ashley Diaz Mejias is the author of Erasing Institutional Bias: How to Create Systemic Change for Organizational Inclusion. She co-wrote the book with diversity consultant Tiffany Jana. In the book, Mejias and Jana focus on bias in the workplace and give readers tips and examples of how to challenge that bias.

Mejias has dedicated her career to examining race, systemic bias, and mass incarceration. As a leader for these conversations, she has written for blogs and taught curriculum. Meijias also works with the Richmond Community Bail Fund and pastors at the Lord Jesus Korean Presbyterian Church. Out of college, she worked as an educational director for a small non-profit. Mejias also worked as a pastor and researcher in correctional facilities.

She received her B.A. from Rhodes College and went on to earn her M.A. in religious studies from the University of Virginia. She then received her MDiv at Union Presbyterian Seminary.
