Ashley Dove-Jay has been part of various NASA/ESA/CSA projects and expeditions, with distinct emphasis on Mars. His technical background is focused within the fields of aero/space, but is wide-ranging. In the last few years he:

  • was the crew commander in an analog astronauts expedition, conducting two dozen projects in collaboration with many of the the world's space agencies and a numerous academic institutes

  • has developed radiation mitigation strategies for astronauts in deep-space with Inspiration Mars

  • advised senior NASA figures on strategies for protecting civilization from the effects of a solar super-storm as part of the SolarMAX task-force

  • written several academic papers on the development of ‘green’ aircraft morphing wing technologies

  • taught classes on topics ranging from rocket engine nozzle design to helicopter rotor blade vibration

On the side, he is a popular science writer and newspaper space columnist. He has appeared on national television and radio on numerous occasions.
