American Chess Player & Coach; Entrepreneur, Youth Rights Activist and Writer

Ashley Lynn Priore is an American chess player & coach, entrepreneur, nonprofit founder, strategist, activist and writer currently serving as the founder, inaugural president, & CEO of Queens Gambit, a national nonprofit using chess to teach strategic leadership, and in turn, give youth the tools they need to change the world. Priore has been featured and recognized for her work using chess to combat society's biggest issues in Elite Daily, Katie Couric Media, Forbes, and USA Today. An awarded chess player in her own right, Priore is known for her fierce leadership in creating gender equity in chess education.

Priore has an extensive list of accomplishments. In 2019, she founded Y'22 (A Youth On Boards Movement) to advocate for intergenerational diversity on nonprofit boards. In her role as President, Priore educates, empowers, and supports young leaders (under 25) to join nonprofit boards and trains nonprofits on best practices for board leadership. In 2020, she founded Youth Political Strategies, the first youth-led campaign strategy firm in the country, in response to the lack of youth engagement in the 2020 Presidential Election. As a founding partner, Priore has consulted numerous campaigns on policy and voter outreach as local as City Council to national offices such as Congress and Presidential campaigns.

The author of 7 books and the youngest person to run for office in the State of Pennsylvania in 2019, Priore is a nationally recognized leader in youth rights activism and youth policy implementation, writing and submitting an entire playbook for youth engagement in the White House for the Biden-Harris Administration. She co-founded and chairs Our Right To Justice to advocate for more justices on the Supreme Court following the nomination of Amy Coney Barrett. As an expert in nonprofit policy and management, Priore serves the community through her own nonprofit consulting business, Priore Consulting. Leading various initiatives in the community including Proud Pennsylvania, Priore takes community problems and creates innovative techniques to solve them.

Priore resides in Pittsburgh, PA and in her free time, contributes to major publications including the Washington Post, Buzzfeed, and MS Magazine.
