Ashlie Atkinson was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas, she graduated from Hendrix College and the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre.

Having originated the lead role in Neil Labute's premiere of FAT PIG (opposite Andrew McCarthy), (MCC) for which she won a Theatre World Award,she also appeared as Helen, Butcher of Baraboo (opposite Judith Ivey) (Second Stage), The Ritz (Roundabout), The Book Club Play (Arena Stage), January Joiner (Long Wharf), and the world-touring Bridge Project the brain child of Sam Mendes and Kevin Spacey.

In addition to her numerous theatre roles, Ashlie has been seen in such television shows such as Rescue Me, Law and Order (all of them) Louie, 30 Rock and Boardwalk Empire.

Her film credits are vast and include, Inside Man, Eat Pray Love, Margot at The Wedding, Sex And The City, All Good Things, Compliance, Invention of Lying among others..upcoming films including Martin Scorseses Wolf of Wall Street and indie film Cold Comes the Night starring Bryan Cranston and Logan Marshall-Green.

When she isnt gracing the silver screen (big or small), Ashlie can be heard colorfully commentating for Gotham Girls Roller Derby under the pseudonym Margaret Thrasher.

She is also a frequent teacher for young actors at NYU's Stonestreet Studios, as well as private coaching. She loves to develop young talent, and finds it to be extremely fulfilling.

Ashlie, plays Nessa on the new FOX series Us & Them which is set to premiere mid-season.

She currently lives in Brooklyn.
