Asia Hall is entrepreneur and the CEO of Neon Cowboys, a wearable tech brand that sells her patent pending illuminated cowboy hats that glow in the dark like neon signs. This company is the avenue through which Hall is able to explore her American identity within western culture while merging her fashion tech background.
Despite being Los Angeles born and raised, Hall grew up romanticizing western culture and dreaming of the countryside. Hall graduated from Westmont in Santa Barbara with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Art. During college, she started her first international clothing brand, Once Youth, with her younger brother while he was still in high school.
In college, Hall attended country music festivals and line dancing bars. Being a Black, Asian woman, she is a minority, especially at places like music festivals and western events. However, Hall wanted to embrace that she was different and stand out. Knowing that neon signs are symbolic in country music for having memorable nights, Hall envisioned wearable cowboy hats inspired to glow like neon signs. She hand-glued her first 12 prototypes and took the hats to the music festival Stagecoach to test the market. Once the sun set, the audience went wild for the hats. Neon Cowboys was an instant hit, and Miley Cyrus was her very first client.
Hall and her team are continually researching and developing new products while scaling their direct to consumer brand and servicing celebrity clientele. Since its inception, Hall’s brand has exploded in popularity, leading to her products being featured in performances at the MTV VMAs, HBO Max’s Legendary and in multiple collaborations with Texas native Kacey Musgraves. Neon Cowboys' hats have been worn by celebrities Miley Cyrus, Winne Harlow, Selena Gomez and Kylie Jenner.
Hall is also the Co-Founder of WETESO (Wearable Tech Solutions), a consulting firm that partners with researchers, scientists and inventors in developing consumer tech products and bringing them to market.
Hall has a lot to share with the world as she continues to create, bringing life, joy and fun to her companies and those around her. She has given inspirational keynote speeches at TechSassy, VentureScaleUp and Renegades & Rebels on combining technology and fashion.
