Asima Ahmad, MD, MPH, is Co-founder and Chief Medical Officer of Carrot Fertility, the leading global fertility healthcare company. In this role, Dr. Ahmad oversees medical operations including clinical care navigation and the company’s expansive network and telehealth program which offers access to more than 8,000 reproductive endocrinologists, urologists, adoption experts, mental health experts, OB/GYNs, doulas and midwives.

Dr. Ahmad has held leadership roles on the Access to Care Special Interest Group of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), most recently as the Chair and previously as the Vice-Chair. She founded Umeed Foundation, a nonprofit organization that enables students and professionals to volunteer and engage at local hospitals, schools, and NGOs in South Asia. She has also helped in healthcare delivery and optimization in outcomes in Pakistan, India, and Kashmir and worked on a global health project to address maternal mortality with the World Health Organization.

Under Dr. Ahmad’s leadership, Carrot has been honored by Fast Company as one of the Most Innovative Companies; recognized by the Anthem Awards for its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion; and named to Fierce Healthcare’s Fierce 15 list highlighting the most promising healthcare companies. Dr. Ahmad has also been recognized by Entrepreneur Magazine and Fierce Healthcare on their Women of Influence lists, and named to Business Insider’s 30 under 40 in Healthcare list. Additionally, she has been awarded University of Chicago’s Humanitarian Award, recognized as one of the Top 100 University of Chicago Alumni in Technology, and selected as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor.
