After his first trip to Taiwan, Austin Yoder was detained by US Customs in the airport when he came through security with an entire carry-on suitcase full of tea, which they mistook for a different green and leafy plant.

Austin has gone to great lengths to learn about the various flavors and smells associated with tea, going so far as to chew up sheesha tobacco, and drink steeped insect feces - actually a rare delicacy tea produced in Mainland China. Austin is co-founder of Tearroir, and currently lives in Taipei, Taiwan, exploring tea every chance he gets.
