Avani Solanki Prabhakar is the Chief People Officer at Atlassian, a role she assumed after nearly five years with the company. In this position, Prabhakar oversees the organization's global human resources (HR) strategies, employee programs and diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. She also leads a team of HR Business Partners, Employment Relations, Talent, M&A, and DEI professionals, ensuring that HR goals align with Atlassian's broader business strategies. She is focused on building the processes, policies and practices to unlock each employee’s full potential — particularly as new technologies and post-pandemic work habits have changed business.

Prabhakar joined Atlassian in 2019 as Head of HR Partners for the Asia Pacific region before swiftly rising through the ranks to Senior Director, Head of HR Asia Pacific & Global M&A Lead in July 2020, and later, to Vice President in November 2021. As Vice President, she led a global team of HR Business and Regional HR Partners, working closely with R&D leaders to shape the company's talent strategy. In June 2023, she was appointed Senior Vice President and Global Head of Talent and HR, where she accelerated performance during Atlassian's scaling phase and expanded the company's DEI programs. Her responsibilities included driving efficiencies across talent and employee programs and overseeing a team of approximately 100 people.

Before joining Atlassian, Prabhakar's career led her to Fuji Xerox Australia (now FUJIFILM Business Innovation Australia), British Airways, Genpact and GE Capital.
