Ayo Mary Laurent (Born Princess Ayobami Mary Ajayi) 16 January 1989 is a Nigerian royal princess, film maker, fashion designer and the creative director of the family-owned designer fashion label ‘House of Wealth’.
Ayo Mary Laurent was born in Nigeria to British Nigerian parents. Her late dad, Evangelist Laurent Ajayi born in London, United Kingdom was a Christian clergy by profession until his demise in 2001. Her maternal side are notable for their years of trade expertise in textiles, fabrics, designs and own the ‘House of Wealth’ company in Nigeria which is the family fashion business. It would notably also appear to be that her maternal side are of the ruling clan, royal family and lineage, Owa of Ijeshaland, thus, Ayo Mary Laurent is a royal princess.
Whilst in Nigeria and at high school, Princess Mary’s dad passed away when she was 12 years old. After completing her secondary school, with her mum's consent, Mary moved to London, United Kingdom for tertiary education. She studied Business and Information Technology and graduated from the University of Greenwich in 2012. She then took further studies at the London School of Journalism in the United Kingdom.
After graduation from university, Princess Mary launched her accessories and clothing line 'Mary Laurent' under her Family fashion house. In February 2015, Ayo Mary Laurent has appeared on BBC TV series [Asylum (BBC TV series) Asylum] where she played the role of an Ambassador's guest. In 2016, Ayo Mary Laurent appeared on Sky 1 HD Drama Series (Agatha Raisin). She later directed the short film "To be famous’’ in 2016, and co-directed the short film "Mother’’ in 2016. She is the fashion designer and creative director of Mary Laurent International Ltd.
Ayo Mary Laurent at High School was the Head Literary and Debating prefect, often representing her school & the state in National quiz & debating competitions in Nigeria and across Africa. In 2013, Princess Mary was nominated for two awards in the Women4Africa UK awards ''Blogger of the year'' and ''Young Achievers Award of the year''. She was the finalist in the ''Blogger of The Year'' award. In 2014, Princess Mary was nominated for Forbes list ''Under 30 best Africa's Young Entrepreneur''.
Ayo Mary Laurent is a devout Christian, an anointed evangelist from the Zion International School of Evangelism and In February 2016, she became an ordained minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ in response to the calling of GOD upon her life.
