Emmy-winning Actor, Creator of Master of None, Author

Aziz Ansari is a multifaceted actor, writer, producer, director, and comedian. He is widely recognized for his portrayal of Tom Haverford on the NBC series "Parks and Recreation," and as the creator, writer, and star of the Netflix series "Master of None." For his work on "Master of None," he has received several accolades including two Emmys and a Golden Globe for Best Actor – Television Series Musical or Comedy. With his Golden Globe win, Ansari became the first American actor of Asian descent to win a Golden Globe for acting in television.

Ansari's career began with stand-up comedy in New York City during his time at New York University in the mid-2000s. His early success led him to create and star in the MTV sketch comedy show "Human Giant," which aired for two seasons starting in 2007. His film career includes roles in "Funny People," "I Love You, Man," "Observe and Report," and "30 Minutes or Less." He has also lent his voice to animated films such as "Ice Age: Continental Drift" and "Epic."

Beyond acting and comedy, Ansari has released multiple stand-up specials, with his fifth Netflix special "Right Now," directed by Spike Jonze, debuting in 2019 to critical acclaim and earning a Grammy nomination. His latest special, "Nightclub Comedian," was recorded at The Comedy Cellar in New York City and is currently available on Netflix. He authored the #1 New York Times bestselling book "Modern Romance: An Investigation," which was published in June 2015 and won The Goodreads Choice Award for Non-Fiction in the same year. Currently, Ansari is involved in the production of the upcoming comedy movie "Good Fortune," which he wrote, directed, and will co-star in alongside Keanu Reeves, Seth Rogen, and KeKe Palmer.
