Banafsheh Keynoush is an international geopolitical consultant, foreign affairs scholar, and author of Saudi Arabia and Iran: Friends or Foes? (Palgrave Macmillan, February 2016). Between 2011-2013, she advised the White House in an informal capacity on policy issues and relations with Saudi Arabia and Iran. Dr. Keynoush has worked in the field of international development with the World Bank and the Asia Foundation, and as a policy advisor to multiple non-governmental organizations. Previously an assistant and adjunct professor, she is also an accredited interpreter with the European Commission, and has previously worked as a free-lance interpreter at the United Nations, with four of Iran’s presidents and Nobel laureate.
