Barbara Whye is Vice President of Inclusion & Diversity at Apple, where she is leading the company's commitment to building a more equitable and inclusive world by increasing diverse representation at every level, fostering an inclusive culture that brings everybody in, and ensuring equitable pay and access to opportunity for all. She has distinguished herself by successfully leading Intel's $300M Diversity in Technology initiative, achieving full representation in Intel's U.S. workforce ahead of schedule.

Whye joined Apple in 2021 after more than 25 years of experience as an engineer, leader, and C-suite executive in the technology sector, including as Intel’s Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer and Corporate Vice President of Social Impact. She also played a key role as a strategist on Girl Rising, an impactful global campaign for girls' education and empowerment. Furthermore, she testified at the White House Science and Technology Committee, advocating for increased access to STEM/STEAM education. Her efforts have garnered her multiple industry awards, including Fortune's 2020 Most Powerful Women in Business, 2019 BLACK ENTERPRISE Most Powerful Women in Corporate Diversity Award, 2019 Most Influential Women in Corporate America Award, and 2019 NAFE Women of Excellence Corporate Women's Champion Award.

Whye graduated from the University of South Carolina (USC) with a B.S. in electrical engineering and an M.B.A. from USC’s Darla Moore School of Business. Notably, she also received an honorary doctorate in engineering from USC and a PhD in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Ethics from the School of Future of Innovation in Society at Arizona State University. She serves as a member of the Board of Directors for a financial and accounting cloud software company, Blackline, Inc. She is a member of The Links, Incorporated and a lifetime member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
