Founder & President of B3 Architects & Berkus Design Studio.

Berkus is the Founder & President of B3 Architects & Berkus Design Studio based out of Santa Barbara, California. The firm is involved in a multitude of projects which includes over 600,000 residences, custom homes, planned communities and resorts and urban infill. Berkus’s firm doesn’t lack innovation as proved by over 300 planning and design awards that have been received both locally and internationally.

In 1984, the Berkus team built a temporary village for Olympic athletes housing at Lake Casitas, California. In 1991 he was named by Architectural Digest as one of the world's 'Top 100 Architects.’ And in 2005, Berkus was inducted into the Builders Choice Hall of Fame. He has also been featured on publications such as USA Today, Progressive Architecture and Art News. Mr. Berkus is also the author of a book titled, ‘Architecture, Art, Parallels, Connections.’

Berkus has lectured all over the world, including monumental events, such as at the 25th anniversary of Weyerhouser in Japan.
