Bashy is an unstoppable force and if you thought you’d you seen all he has to give – trust, he’s not even warmed up yet! “ I’m a street, social commentator I talk about LIFE. I talk about what’s going on things that people can relate to: ‘When The Sky Falls’, ‘Life’, ‘How to Pick a Wifey’, ‘Black Boys’, ‘4 O’Clock In The Morning’, ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’, ‘Death Is Just a Page Away’... ” self penned tracks, all delivered with a clarity, confidence and infectious word play that ruthlessly commands the unsuspecting listeners attention.

Ashley ‘Bashy’ Thomas’ rise to fame has been highlighted with awesome moments including his starring role in box office success ‘Shank’, gracing No. 10 Downing Street for meetings with the Prime Minister as an ambassador for the ‘No To Knives’ campaign, supervising soundtracks for not one but THREE films (Shank, Freestyle and Adulthood) and receive MOBO award nominations for Best UK Act (2009), Best Album (2009) and Best Video (2008).

He delivered his debut album ‘Catch Me If You Can’ to both a hungry audience and critical acclaim. Every element of his delivery from the lyrical dexterity to the video production is sharp, with none of the raw presentation synonymous with the Grime/Hip Hop scene. In Bashy, we have an artist who has captivated the underground and is crossing over with the ease that Will Smith demonstrated in the years before he was Hollywood’s highest paid male actor.

It all began with Bashy honing his craft in the playground of his local Kensal Rise comprehensive, where at the age of 14, the confident youngster lyrically battled the older kids in the school who in his own words he ‘destroyed’. Having been raised in Ladbroke Grove, a breeding ground for some of London’s most creative talents, Bashy soon got his peers talking and the word spread beyond the gates of the playground and into his local community. He found himself in demand at local clubs and parties where he earned yet more respect battling other popular lyricists of the time.

His recent stint touring in Jonzi‐D’s production of Markus The Sadist solidified Bashy’s appeal and promise as an actor. His star turn as Markus had the audience captured in the palm of his hand and ladies actually screaming in the stalls! Ashley Thomas adds more feathers to his acting cap in 2010 with the release of not one, but two films set to light up the box offices: Noel Clarke’s latest project ‘4,3,2,1’ and 'Shank' directed by new Brit‐Flick talent Mo Ali.

Add to this Bashy’s work with multi‐platinum, Grammy award winning act Gorillaz, Summer tour with chart sensation Chipmunk and his turn at this years legendary Glastonbury festival and you can see the West London Tornado is on the rise and is having an extraordinary journey to the top of the game.

Bashy's stunning album 'Catch Me If You Can' is out now!
