Creator & Screenwriter, "House of Cards"

Beau Willimon is creator, showrunner, and executive producer of “House of Cards,” which earned nine Emmy and four Golden Globe nominations and won the WGA Award for Best New Series. He is co-founder of Westward Productions, whose projects include Fear of Falling, a film adaption of Ibsen’s Master Builder. Willimon’s play Farragut North was the basis for the film Ides of March, which he co-wrote and which earned him Oscar, Golden Globe, and BAFTA nominations. His newest play is Breathing Time. Willimon worked on several political campaigns, including Hillary Clinton’s 2000 senate race and Howard Dean’s 2004 presidential race.
