Becky Anderson is one of CNN International's highest profile anchors and the host of "Connect the World", which airs weekdays in the prime-time EMEA line-up at 9pmGMT. She is based at CNN's Abu Dhabi bureau, where she also serves as Managing Editor.

In her roles, Anderson has a distinctive regional perspective on some of today's most important news stories, including the emerging politico-economic trends in the Gulf, the regional rivalries between Iran and Saudi Arabia, and the deepening humanitarian crisis stemming from years of political instability in Syria and Iraq. She has reported from Greece on the anti-austerity riots in 2011, Tunisia during the Arab uprisings, and fronted CNN’s coverage of the G20 meeting in Cannes. Additionally, she hosted CNN’s coverage of the 10-year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks from Ground Zero in New York.

Anderson is a skilled interviewer, adept at close questioning and has interviewed many of the world's leading politicians, decision-makers, and thought-leaders including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon. She is equally proficient in interviewing celebrities, having conducted one-on-one interviews with stars such as Beyoncé, Angelina Jolie, George Clooney, and other A-listers. Her journalism experience is extensive, with previous roles at UK's ITN, CNBC Europe, and Bloomberg. Anderson began her career as a print reporter with various business publications in Arizona after earning a Master of Mass Communication from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University in 1992.
