Ben Kissel is an 11-year resident of Brooklyn who was born the youngest of three sons to an immigrant father and working-class mom in Steven’s Point, Wisconsin. His father worked as a truck driver for 25 years, and although times were financially tough, Ben’s family relied on their strong faith to make ends meet. Being the youngest of three sons in the Midwest made Ben a fighter -- as both of Ben’s brothers eventually came out as gay, Ben learned to fight for the “little” guy and take care of the downtrodden. The conviction to help those who couldn't help themselves also motivated his family to take in foster children, helping dozens of abused children over the course of a decade. After high school, Ben attended University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where he was extremely active in the 2004 elections before graduating with a degree in Political Science.

Since moving to Brooklyn in 2006, Ben has become one of the nation’s rising political commentators and has several successful podcasts on New York City’s own Cave Comedy Radio. He co-hosts a successful true crime podcast called "Last Podcast On The Left" as well as the political podcast "Abe Lincoln's Top Hat"

Ben Kissel is also actively involved in politics, appearing on Fox News a number of times. He is currently running for the Brooklyn Borough President.
