Ben Lyons is E! News' film correspondent and movie critic. You can catch him interviewing stars, reviewing films, covering red carpets and award shows, and attending the world's most important and prestigious film festivals for the network and E!Online. He is also the co-executive producer for the E! International series Extreme Close Up.

Born and raised in New York City, Ben is the grandson of legendary New York Post columnist Leonard Lyons and is the son of film and theater critic Jeffrey Lyons. The Lyons family has been covering pop culture in American media for more than 80 years.

Ben began his career behind the scenes, working at record labels Duck Down, Def Jam and Roc-A-Fella and then in production as the senior producer of Hip Hop Nation, a nationally syndicated music and lifestyle show. He produced music videos for artists like Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Tony Touch and Black Moon. He worked as an associate producer for ESPN, made a short hosting reel, and his life changed forever.

Ben's first job on television was as the co-host of MTV's Your Movie Show with SuChin Pak. He was seen regularly on MSNBC, Access Hollywood and as a recurring contributor to NBC's Reel Talk, the show he helped conceive for his father.

Besides working at E!, Ben is a regular contributor for Good Morning America on ABC and reviews movies each week on Carson Daly's radio show. He hosted My Family's Got Guts for Nickelodeon, At The Movies for Disney/Buena Vista Syndication and ESPN's coverage of the 2008 National School Scrabble Championships. He has been a guest on The View, The Bonnie Hunt Show, CNN, Fox News, The Joy Behar Show, CNBC, the CBS Early Show and ESPN Radio.

Ben has appeared in the films Superbad, The House Bunny, Your Highness, the indie film Ben Banks and as himself on Entourage and 90210.

In addition to his love of movies and pop culture, Ben is an avid supporter of several philanthropic organizations including OneXOne. He is also a diehard New York Knicks fan and spends his down time traveling, golfing and playing basketball.
