Four-time Midas Lister Ben Nye does double-duty as co-managing partner of Bain Capital Ventures and CEO of VMTurbo, a privately held BCV portfolio company that provides a cloud and virtualization platform for businesses. VMTurbo more than doubled its revenue last year and recently closed a new round of Series D financing, and was named to the Forbes list of Most Promising Companies for a third time. At BCV, Nye helped raise two new funds totaling $850 million and led investments into BMC and ObserveIT, as well as the sale of Stackdriver to Google. Nye is hanging in there on the Midas List thanks to a 2008 growth-stage investment in LinkedIn. In his rare spare time, he coaches two youth lacrosse teams and fishes in Alaska, where he was previously an salmon fly-fishing guide. He's also raising 7 American bison on a former dairy farm in upstate New York.
