Bernadine Dohrn  

Clinical associate professor of law and director and founder

is clinical associate professor of law and director and founder of the Children and Family Justice Center at Northwestern University Law School. Dohrn is a child advocate who teaches and writes about juvenile justice and international human rights. Dohrn serves on the boards of directors of the W. Haywood Burns Institute, the Juvenile Justice Initiative, the Midwest Coalition for Human Rights, the Public Square, and the Children’s Rights Division of Human Rights Watch. She is on the steering committee of the Illinois Family Violence Coordinating Committee and is co-chair of the National Children’s Law Network. She is the author and co-editor of two books: A Century of Juvenile Justice (University of Chicago Press, 2002) and Resisting Zero Tolerance: A Handbook for Parents, Teachers and Students (The New Press, 2001).
