Bessie & Beulah have audiences standing, singing, dancing and howling at their "stress-relievers," everything from movies to money to mothers-in-law. These feisty, malapropping ladies will have everyone joining in the fun, even your senior leadership. And they always startle, surprise and delight audiences at the end of each show when Bessie & Beulah transform themselves into the lovely Becky Baker and Katie Blackburn.

Katie Blackburn has an extensive background in theatre and comedy. She has worked with Lamb’s Players Theatre in San Diego and was a founding “mother” of SAK Theatre, an improvisational theatre company performing at Renaissance Festivals and a major entertainment company for Disney’s Epcot Center in Orlando. She majored in theatre at Bethel College in St. Paul, MN.

Becky Baker, an accomplished speaker and comedian for close to 20 years, received her BA from Biola University in Math and Spanish and a master’s degree in Education from San Diego State University. She works as a high school Spanish teacher, and she also published the book, Joykillers, now in its second printing. She recently published her second book, The Do’s and Don’t for Teachers.

Becky and Katie met and became instant best friends in 1975 and began performing Bessie & Beulah in 1989. They have since performed for thousands around the country. Their chemistry and love for each other delight audiences all over the country. Appropriate for all audiences, Bessie & Beulah are quick to make you laugh, but they are just as quick to follow-up with practical, relevant commentary on topics like working, worry, anxiety, relationship struggles, balance and the importance of just plain joy, especially the joy of the Lord.
