Bethany Bongiorno is the Co-Founder and CEO of Humane, a software engineering program management company focused on building artificial intelligence-powered tech products.

Bongiorno was previously the Director of iOS & macOS Software Engineering Program Management at Apple. Bongiorno led the teams behind some of Apple's most transformational products. As a Director of Software Engineering, she was responsible for all software project management for iOS and macOS and also played a key leadership role in the execution of critical projects such as the launch of the original iPad.

Prior to her time at Apple, Bongiorno worked in astrophysics research and was a data management and software development consultant. She was a Software Project Management Consultant at PwC and a Research Assistant at both the American Museum of Natural Theirtory and Penn State University.

Bongiorno is a graduate of Barnard College, where she majored in physics and minored in mathematics. She also holds a degree in physics from New York University.
