YouTube Sensation Known for her Fashion, Beauty & DIY Tips; "Dancing with the Stars" Season 19 Contestant

Bethany Mota, known by her YouTube username MacBarbie07, is an American beauty guru, vlogger and YouTube celebrity. As of July 2019, Bethany Mota's YouTube channel, MacBarbie07, has over 10 million subscribers and over 993 million video views.

Mota was born in Modesto, California, on November 7, 1995. Bethany was home-schooled along with her older sister Brittney for most of her life. In her spare time, she browsed YouTube and discovered the Beauty Community on it.

Mota created her YouTube account in 2009 when she as 14. Her first video was a haul video titled "First Video :) Mac and Sephora Haul."

Mota's goal for her channel was to help young girls feel confident in themselves and feel good about themselves. Despite her channel being about makeup, Bethany wants everyone to know that they're beautiful no matter what.

Bethany's main focus is her shopping haul and outfit showcase videos. She also creates videos on hair and makeup tutorials, DIY crafts and guides on interior decoration.

Mota has been featured in magazines including Girls Life and Seventeen Magazine. She also had a joint clothing, perfume and accessories line with Aeropostale, beginning in 2013.

In 2014, she was selected to be among the content creators in YouTube's first advertising campaign. Mota has also appeared on YouTube's web show IMO, an opinion show aimed at teenagers.

She interviewed President Barack Obama on January 22, 2015 as part of a White House initiative to reach out to a broader audience following his 2015 State of the Union Address.

She has released a single, "Need You Right Now," with Mike Tompkins, which debuted at number thirty in the Danish top 40 record chart. She has also written her own song, "Be Who You Wanna Be."

She has written a memoir, "Make Your Mind Up: My Guide to Finding Your Own Style, Life, and Motavation!"

Mota was a contestant on Season 19 of "Dancing with the Stars," and she finished in fourth place along with her partner for the show, Derek Hough.

Outside of her career, she has spoken out on bullying, and gave talks about anti-bullying as part of National Bullying Prevention Month. She also joined UNICEF Kid Power as a brand ambassador Kid Power Champion.
