Bettina Warburg is an investor, speaker, entrepreneur, researcher, and author. In 2019 she launched Warburg Serres Investments, an early stage venture capital fund focused investing in the Web 3 computing stack. She is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Animal Ventures, an investment advisory firm that educates and advises fortune 100 companies on how to invest in the future of decentralized software architecture and blockchain.

In 2016, she was the first speaker at TED to unpack the topic of blockchain. Her talk, How the Blockchain will radically transform the economy, has been seen by over 5 million people, making it the most viewed talk on the topic of Blockchain to date. Her collaboration with Wired Magazine to help explain blockchain at 5 levels of difficulty has also been seen by over 2.5 Million people.

She is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Texas School of Information in Austin, co-author of The Basics of Blockchain: A guide for building literacy in the economics, technology, and business of blockchain, co-author of Asset Chains: The Cognitive, Friction-free, and Blockchain enabled Future of Supply Chains, and was previously the executive producer of a show at the intersection of technology, governance, and politics called Tech on Politics.
