NHL All-Star, Sports Broadcaster, Olympic Commentator

Bill Clement is a former National Hockey League All-Star who played 11 years in the NHL with Philadelphia, Washington, and Calgary. He has been a prominent figure in nationally televised hockey since 1986 and is recognized as a successful actor, entrepreneur, and speaker. His career off the ice has been marked by resilience, overcoming financial and emotional challenges after his initial post-hockey business venture.

Recently, Clement served as Studio Host for the "NHL on NBC" and for "Hockey Central" on the Versus Network. He appears on Rogers SportsNet in Canada and is heard on Sirius-XM Radio. Expanding his range in electronic media, Clement provides Broadcast Coaching & Consulting. He was the lead game-analyst for ESPN’s "National Hockey Night" telecasts for 15 years, served as the lead analyst for ABC Sports' NHL telecasts from 2000-2004, and has worked every Stanley Cup Final telecast since 1986. Clement has received a Cable "ACE" Award as the best analyst in any sport. In a 1996 reader survey by The Hockey News, he was voted "Favorite Hockey Personality on TV." His acting portfolio includes roles on the ABC daytime drama "All My Children" and over 300 television ads for well-known brands like Chevrolet, Bud Light, and Deep Woods Off.

Having started his professional hockey career with the Philadelphia Flyers, Clement won two Stanley Cup championships with the team known as the "Broad Street Bullies." After playing one season with the Washington Capitals and being selected for his first NHL All-Star Game, he was traded to the Atlanta Flames, where he captained the team, played for five seasons, and was selected for his second All-Star Game. He moved with the team to Calgary in 1980 and retired from professional hockey in 1982.

Clement, originally from Thurso, Quebec – a town also home to Hall of Famer Guy Lafleur – is an engaging speaker who delivers keynote speeches and presentations on leadership, team building, and overcoming adversity.
