Bill Klein

Motivational Speaker, Star of TLC's "The Little Couple" & Author of "Life is Short"

Bill Klein grew up in the town of Port Jefferson on Long Island, NY. After earning a degree in Biology from NYU, Bill embarked on a professional career in sales. After a ‘tenacious’ job hunt, Bill developed a career which led him to fill various senior-management slots at companies ranging from $45 million to $250 million in annual revenues. Bill's career began at Triad Medical, a national provider of infusion, DME and pharmaceutical products to the hospital and homecare markets.

That company went through many major transformations as it merged with a number companies and was acquired by others, all the while Bill continued to hone his craft. Through hard work and an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, Bill was promoted repeatedly. As a key member of the executive management team, Bill helped sell his company in 2004.

After a near-flawless integration with the new corporation, Bill started his first endeavor into entrepreneurship. After divesting his interest in Emerge in 2011, Bill began consulting clients independently from his office in Houston. Today, he works with companies large and small, in the area of strategic direction, sales and operational efficiency and helping start-ups avoid pitfalls that are normally associated with being a 'start-up'.

He is a serial entrepreneur who plays an active role in every business he owns, including Candu Enterprises, where he and his wife Jennifer provide a variety of media-related services, public speaking and philanthropic appearances at schools and other institutions to aid in the campaign to stop bullying in the US.

Most recently, Bill created Rocky & Maggie's. Named after the family dogs, Rocky & Maggie's is a pet supply business with both an e-commerce platform and a brick & mortar location in Houston, TX. They help support local rescues and charities through the pet shop too! Future plans include product development and franchising.

The accomplishment Bill holds most dear is his latest… creating a family. Together with his wife, Jennifer, they flew around the world twice to adopt their wonderful kids, William, a very talented 3 year old from China & Zoey, a very precocious 2 year old hailing from Mumbai, India.

He is the son of Bill Sr. and Barbara, eldest brother to Thomas and Joseph and a proud dad to his son William Ri Jin and daughter Zoey Nidhi. In his free time, Bill enjoys spending time with friends & family, travel and watching movies.

Bill has been speaking in front of crowds for a while now. Since he was a kid, Bill used humor and an uncanny ability to provide vivid imagery to tell a story.

While he has retired some (but not all) of his childhood goofiness in exchange for more adult topics, Bill's comedic approach helps bring an appropriate amount of levity to any discussion to help disarm the audience and draw them in.

From the motivational talk entitled 'Think Big' in which Bill discusses his life and philosophy to succeed in life; to the corporate discussions Bill has to help break down barriers and encourage hiring disabled job seekers, Bill will bring your audience in and keep them in.

Bill speaks on topics including motivation, business, HR and Disability Awareness, Empowerment, Special topics for Men and Life Balance.

Speech Topics

  • Think Big. From childhood to marriage and beyond, Bill shares stories, examples of triumph over adversity and life

  • True stories. a rough and tumble, frank discussion about being a little person navigating a world of old school thinking (ignorance), dealing with those issues (sometimes by the skin of his teeth) and coming out the other side! (this discussion does have some 'New Yorker terminology' in it, and is not for all audiences)?

  • Sales People, Process and Performance. a discussion about working with people, embracing technology and processes to help generate consistent performance

  • Diverse Resources. A discussion about diversity in the workplace. Geared for small audiences and talks about engaging people with disabilities and getting comfortable with the person by getting comfortable with the disability too (here's an article for Abilities Magazine)

  • Be a Man. a discussion for men that focuses on the age old question of 'How do I do right by my spouse and not lose my identity as a guy?'

  • All Systems Go. Some helpful tips to keep some balance in your life, from career to family & friends and the elusive you-time.
